Intra-Articular Hyruan Injection (Knee)

Knee osteoarthritis
Covered Limited to 3 sessions per 6 months

A sodium hyaluronate formula that replenishes joint lubricating fluid. It reduces friction between worn cartilage surfaces, relieves pain, and helps restore joint function. Covered for Kellgren-Lawrence grade I–III knee osteoarthritis, up to 3 sessions per 6 months.

Intra-Articular Conjuran Injection (Knee)

Covered Limited to 5 sessions per 6 months

A gel-form injection made from polynucleotide (PN) extracted from salmon milt. It maintains viscoelasticity within the joint space, providing cushioning and lubrication. Covered up to 5 sessions per 6 months. It cannot be given at the same time as Hyruan, so please tell us about any prior treatment.

PRP Injection for Medial/Lateral Epicondylitis (Elbow)

Covered Limited to 2 sessions per 6 months

An autologous injection made by concentrating platelets from the patient's own blood. Covered for elbow epicondylitis (tennis or golfer's elbow) that hasn't responded to prior steroid treatment. Growth factors directly stimulate regeneration of damaged tendon cells; coverage is limited to 2 sessions per 6 months.

Steroid Injection

Acute inflammation of joints, tendons & ligaments
Covered Recommended for limited use

A corticosteroid injection that very quickly and powerfully suppresses inflammation around joints, tendons, and ligaments. Although each dose is small and localized, repeated use carries a higher risk of side effects, so it is generally recommended no more than 3–4 times per year.

PDRN Injection for Tendons & Ligaments

Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN), extracted from salmon DNA, is injected directly into the damaged area. It binds to adenosine A2A receptors to produce an anti-inflammatory effect, while also stimulating fibroblast activity and growth factor release to promote regeneration of tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.

Prolotherapy (Ligament-Strengthening Injection)

A concentrated dextrose solution is injected where a damaged ligament or tendon attaches to bone. This triggers an immune response that forms new collagen fibers, fundamentally strengthening weakened ligaments and tendons. The solution itself is harmless to the body, so side effects are minimal and repeat treatment is possible.

Placenta Injection (Laennec)

Liver function support in chronic liver disease

A human placental hydrolysate injection prepared by removing blood and hormones and breaking down proteins from human placenta. It contains a range of bioactive substances such as amino acids, nucleic acids, and enzymes, and its approved indication is improving liver function in chronic liver disease. Other potential uses can be discussed during your consultation.

Regenceal Injection

Cartilage, tendon & ligament damage, joint pain

A tissue-regeneration treatment that injects purified collagen (peptides) extracted from porcine tissue directly into the damaged area. Collagen is a key structural component of cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and bone, and supplying it directly to the injury site promotes cell regeneration and proliferation. Unlike steroids or prolotherapy, it does not trigger an inflammatory response, resulting in less post-procedure pain and faster tissue regeneration. It can be applied to joints throughout the body, including the knee, shoulder, lower back, and ankle.

Good to Know

Before Your Injection Treatment

  • For PRP injections, it's recommended to stop taking anti-inflammatory pain relievers (ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen, etc.) for a period before and after the procedure. If pain control is needed, acetaminophen-based medication may be used instead.
  • Hyruan and Conjuran cannot be administered together or in close succession. Please be sure to tell us about any prior treatment.
  • Treatment outcomes and the most suitable injection type can vary by individual and will be determined after consultation.
  • Non-Covered injections are not covered by National Health Insurance; please ask at check-in for detailed pricing.
